I’m Valerie, a queer photographer in London.

Instax self-portrait of Valerie

I don’t just capture a moment – I tell a story.

My work includes portraits, both candid and artistic; and event documentation.

Tell me about your approach.

Through my work, I intend to document the lives and experiences of those in my communities, primarily including the queer and trans communities of London and across the UK.

Over time, my work has resonated with those around me, including individuals who have expressed how much they value my approach in capturing and sharing these stories.

I work both digitally and with a variety of film, usually shooting with Canon cameras including mirrorless (EOS RP) and 35mm. I proudly buy most of my equipment pre-owned.

I've had the privilege of working with a diverse range of clients, including Attitude Magazine, Bishopsgate Institute, and Not A Phase, as well as various individuals.
